Those who want to work in private clinics often need an entry qualification of completing an associate degree or a certification.  Those who want to work on researches or be in the teaching field, a bachelor or master’s degree will be required.

Bachelor’s degree for dental hygienists takes 6 years for completion. Some companies and hospitals require one to take qualifying exams.  Qualifying exams are proof of deeper understanding of the subject and better competency at work.
